The weird thing is that they all agree on it and even have an alternative chevy logo.......
The internet has some weird people on it.

I hope the guys dad has just been trolling him and his mom their entire life by always calling a Chevy a Ford and vice-versa and just hasn’t told them to see how long it would take for them to realize

These are the type of people who use anecdotes as evidence.

I love the one that they link to:
“I’ve always been the car guy. I do all my own maintenance. I’ve rebuilt motors. I’m doing a motor swap. I’ve never owned a vehicle that wasn’t quickly modified for performance. My daily driver does 12s in the quarter mile. I’m been an active member on probably 20 different car forums. I know cars.
I’ve always been a fan of German cars, including Volvos , and I’ve helped my buddies mod them.”

Crazy. Every last one of these people are fucking crazy. Especially the guy who “knows better now.”
The ‘old’ Ford symbol wasn’t identical to the ‘new’ Chevy symbol, the top and bottom were slanted, too, and if I remember correctly, it was a little fatter.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I remember Fords having that T-shaped emblem during my childhood in the 80s. Not sure when the switch happened.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The following link is to my renderings of what I remember as the Chevy and Ford symbols:
Calling the current Chevy symbol a “bowtie” is nonsense. It looks nothing like a bowtie. In the ripples of space-time I recall, it used to look like a bowtie made of diamond-like chevrons (connected to the name “Chevrolet”).

Same here. I grew up in the 80s. Sometime in my early/pre teens I remember wondering when they switched.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This has been my touchstone Mandela Effect since I was a kid. It happened between 1980 and ‘85 more likely on the early side of that. I noticed it in a commercial and asked my father about it immediately and he just chuckled and said Chevy always had the cross shaped logo. I looked at cars for years after trying to find ones with ‘the real’ logos.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I was shocked again to see what I recognized always as the Ford logo was now the Chevy logo. I’ve had Fords, the logo was like the now Chevy logo, but all the lines were slanted. There were no straight lines. I thought I just misremembered. I know better now.

I like to believe that these are people who either jump parallel universes at some point without realizing it or are peripherally aware of changes to the timeline.
It makes the world more amusing and less strange. Yes, less.

I read the post. I think you’re right, or else the parents have the brain mis-wiring and messed up their kid.

There’s some more funny stuff about Volvo being German in that thread.
Obviously, volvo is German in another dimension, that just happens to have Volvo and Germany, as any other dimension should.
